Letterhead
I firstly began with my letterhead, I decided that my logo would work best top left and I felt that this is where the information usually is placed. I also decided to use the width of my logo ( which is in one column) as the space where all my information would go at the top I placed my address and the bottom my email and telephone number, I felt that my blog address would not need to be on a letterhead as its purpose isn't to encourage people to look at my work.
I then had a traditional looking text and I signed my name (on illustrator) at the bottom so that it looks personal.
Invoice
Then following the same grid (which you can see here) I created my invoice, I wanted them to be similar as I think that coherence is best , and things that are randomly placed don't make a strong identity.
I still used the space on the left as my details except I had now moved my address to the bottom and at the top I had a customer reference and date which is more important on an invoice. I also had a simple grid which I had the headings of design description, which would be for example business cards, letterhead, envelope, etc. and then unit cost so the cost per item, and then quantity, how many they had and then the cost.
I think that my invoice would need developing more but I need to learn more about it firstly, what I haven't included is hours worked , and things I may not know.
Final Printed letterhead and invoice.
I like that they are very similar I think they work together and look part of a pack.
