A Design Presence: Business Card

Front

I decided that I would but the logo I had designed on the front of my business card, I decided to take off the name as I wanted it to be leading, plus my name would be on the back of the card so the person would still know my name.

I placed it central as its the only element on the page and this is where it stands out the most.

However I did want to incorporate the green on the front too. I felt that just having a plain logo on the front would be too boring. I did feel that black stands out the most on white, and you can see the triangle of the A really well, its very strong, whereas green makes it less bright and so I still wanted white behind the logo, and so I made a green border.

I felt that it looked slightly childish, and it was too prominent, and so I changed the border to an outline, this made the design much more sophisticated and more to my style.

Reverse

On the back of my card I placed basic information on it, my mobile number, my student email address and my blog as I do not currently have work on anything else online.

My plans are to in the summer set up a behance profile, the only issue I have with this is that the work isn't completely copy written and I am worried that someone may take my work, but at the same time it would be better for me to promote myself and professional work and photographs of the work will showcase what I can do and what I like doing.

I also plan to set up a new professional email address as I should as my current email is unprofessional and I can't use my student one either.

However for the purposes of this project I've put the information there as my current information but also as a guide to where I would put actual information.

I put the type to the left, my logo takes up quite a bit of space on the page, and the email address is quite long, and so it fit best like this.

Printed Cards

I tried printing my business cared onto antique white stock like all my other however I also had the green stock, I experimented with green stock for the back and this looked better, and more vibrant.
