1. What
skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you
think you have applied them?
I
think that I have learned how to research more effectively. I have tried
different methods of researching and not just relying on the internet. I
would say I have begun to look into the use of info graphics and I had tried
to be creative with them. I have also experienced working in a group again,
and I tried to involve myself as much as I could and I would say I had an
input.

2. What approaches to/methods of design production
have you developed and how have they informed your design development
process?
|
|||||
I have used Photoshop and Illustrator in a lot of
my work again, including the major brief. I have learnt how to search for
large sized images on the internet, and I have learnt more Photoshop
techniques from the Photoshop inductions. I have also learnt how to foil
work, which I can now use.
|
|||||
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and
how have/will you capitalise on these?
I would say that in my latest work, I had
researched well and in a variety of methods and I think that this made my
piece well informed and I think it helped to create a good piece of work. I
would also say I had researched into my other work and the most successful
pieces where the ones I had researched into more extensively. I will continue
to try to research more thoroughly and using different techniques, and
considering quantative and qualative.

|
|||||
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work
and how will you address these in the future?
|
|||||
I need to try experiment with my work more and
different techniques and formats- as everything I have created this module
has been A4 or smaller, paper based. I need to go further in the development
stage of my work and maybe I will come up with a more creative solution.
|
|||||
5. Identify five things that you will do
differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
|
|||||
1.
I will experiment with a range of
solutions from my initial ideas so that I will have a choice of finals, or
ideas I can make into a final piece.
2.
I need to practise at getting the work on
screen to look how it does when it is printed.
3.
I should try to incorporate more
interesting techniques such as, foiling, embossing, screen-printing.
4.
I will try to generate more ideas quicker
and of a good quality to enable me to have more time on developing the final
solution.
5.
I will continue to look at the work of
others when answering a brief and I will try look at the format they have
presented their work.
|
|||||
6.How would you grade
yourself on the following areas:
(please indicate using an
‘x’)
5= excellent, 4 = very good,
3 = good, 2 = average, 1 = poor

The evaluation of your work
is an important part of the assessment criteria and represents a percentage
of the overall grade. It is essential that you give yourself enough time to
complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of
self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self-evaluation
process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible.
