I found this studio looking at a project on another site, I like some of their work (some of it is in the images below)
I also like the design of the website, but I did find it hard to navigate, but the overall aesthetic is really sophisticated.

Made Publishers
http://www.madepublishers.com
"We are MADE Publishers, a boutique periodical and book publisher with offices in Melbourne (Australia) and New York (United States)"
"books dedicated to design, photography, fashion, art, architecture, health & lifestyle. With an emphasis on quality content and high production values"
The sectors these publishers focus on are appealing to me, however I wasn't too sure what the company was, but I now see it as they are publishers who do create their own work but the work of others as well, and so they are not specifically a studio but I find their work interesting.

Self Evaluation OUGD504 Design Production
1. What skills
have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you
have applied them?
Throughout this module I have gained significantly more
ability on Adobe Dreamweaver, as I had no experience on this software
previously. I have also learned a lot about website design, app design,
designing for screen. I would also say I have learnt more about colour and I
feel that I have a better understanding of colour for screen and print. I would
also say that my skills on Photoshop have also slightly improved, and I
continue to use InDesign and Illustrator confidently.
Another new skill I have begun to grasp is creating
design boards, creating them and really showing of the whole project from start
to finish. As well as this exporting files and uploading them on issu so that
they can be viewed as a whole presentation on screen.
I would also say I gained a lot more knowledge about
industry printing and printing techniques in general, this was due to the first
studio brief where I had to look into print.
2. What approaches to/methods of design production have
you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
I have developed a more organised production method, I
have thought more about planning ahead for the production and to what
limitations I may have. This has helped my process as I now have a better idea
of how/ when things need to be designed by. I have also used this to make more
mock-ups and go back over designs, which has helped me to achieve a stronger
outcome. I have also learnt more about mocking up/ proposing items on Photoshop
rather then actual making them when it isn’t necessary.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how
have/will you capitalise on these?
I think that I am strong on InDesign and I really like
to design publications and use grids to layout the design. And I will continue
to use InDesign and use this to my advantage, this also helps me to create
design boards and I will practice this more and more and hopefully this will
mean my design boards will become really effective.
I also think that my Illustrator skills are good and I
am getting better at drawing in my own style on Illustrator, and I will
continue to do this to develop my own style. As well as this I think my type
skills are good and I can use this to help my designs.
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how
will you address these in the future?
A weakness in my work which has really stuck out to me
on this module is my ability to blog efficiently and to get all of my ideas
onto the blog. In future, the next module I am going to try spend at least an
hour a day just going over what I have done that day, so that I am not left to
do this at the end of the module.
I
have also identified that I do not use a lot of different print techniques even
though I feel as I know how to use them, and I have used them in small
instances, I do not capitalise on the facilities and in future I will try to
incorporate them more into projects and on a larger scale/ production.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently
next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
1. Blog more efficiently, so that I explain myself fully
and go into more detail, and this will mean everyone that reads my blog will
know what I am trying to achieve and how I went about achieving it.
2. Use different printing techniques, so that I gain
more experience in these areas and decide what I like to do, and just to gain
different looking outcomes.
3. Mange my time better so that I can spend enough time
on each task, and I need to learn how to manage different/ separate
briefs/tasks at the same time so that I can work to my full potential.
4. Try to do tasks, write up critiques on the same day
so that I can progress my project and I remember what I am doing, this will
also be better for my own reflection.
5. Spend less time researching and developing a concept
so that I can spend more time developing my designs and trying a range of
ideas, which will give me more scope, and more options.
